Price Increases:

Ok, First and foremost i want to thank everyone for your patience.  I know that at the times the gym may seem a bit crowded, but it’s not a constant thing especially as we enter the slow months of the hour changes, cold weather and holiday season.

It’s a twofold thing;  when i first started TBI no one would want to sign up because of sparse class sizes;  great for those who were members then because of direct attention (scrutinazation) of myself, but then there was the lack of other training partners (pads, sparring, clinch work).  Now, even though it feels crowded there are tons of people for you to work with of all different levels and experiences.

Then theres the energy of the classes, all of us working hard together and pushing ourselves to get better.  That’s great!

and as i mentioned earlier, thank you to the members who have been training with me at TBI since it’s inception, nearing our 7th year as a gym!

members who i have seen every week since we first opened and members who have decided to stick around after their trial months, maybe some signing contracts all up to this point-  that’s awesome and i’m glad you believe in TBI, the instructors and myself.

Starting Jan 2nd- we are going to limit memberships in a certain manner.  With the increase in marketing and attention to the gym and as our gym increases in membership size so do our expenses and consumption of resources.  I am a firm believer of reinvesting in the gym to facilitate the members, their growth and excellence in the art and sport of Muay Thai.

Trying to add new classes and coaches as well cost money, the wear and tear of equipment, the cleaning and maintenance , etc.   and as much as i would love to keep every member around, people come and go so a constant stream of trial members is necessary to the sustainability of the business.

Now, if you have been a member to TBI before the 2019, you are grandfathered into the rate you are paying now.  You will NOT be affected to the new rates.  Got it?

just for reference we will be going from $199 FT to $224 FT and $124 PT to  $149 PT.

Along with the non-contractual new rates, we will also have new contract rates and terms as well.

4 month, 8 months, and 12 months

as a bonus and a thank you, we will be offering contracted members a free drop-in for a friend to try out a class every month.  cool huh?

Biggest thing for all this to establish the importance of consistency.  Even though current members are unaffected by the price increase, new members may be scared away by the new pricing, which is why the contracted rates will be a little more affordable.  What we are trying to do is have prospective members value the gym and the members that belong to it, which in case if they are truly interested in learning muay thai at The Thai Boxing Institute, they would be willing to perhaps sign an agreement to take the training serious and to respect our members, instructors and the gym itself.   Signing a membership agreement incentivizes people to continue training muay thai beyond their first month, and us, as a business, allows us to reduce your monthly dues in order to make it affordable for you to pursue the sport and your goals.

This way we are all investing into each others growth.  Together we are one!

Any questions?  Please don’t hesitate to ask!

Teen Classes:

With the current growth and success of the youth program, we will start offering teen muay thai classes as a in-between from the kids classes to transitioning over to the adult programs.  The teens muay thai classes will be on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 5-6 pm Starting Thursday January 3rd 2019.  Coach Vik and Coach Miguel will be in charge of running them.  Price will be $99 a month and the ages will be from 11-16 years of age.

The benefits of a teen muay thai class exceeds beyond just training Muay Thai and fitness.  They will learn leadership, discipline, and have two excellent mentors as instructors to help them traverse the awkwardness of their teenage years.

Re:  Refer a friend!

Just a reminder in case you didn’t know, TBI offers referral credit if you bring a friend in and they sign up for a trial month.  Having a friend sign up gets you $25 credit towards your next month membership dues.  It can be an adult, teen, or child!

Re:  X-mas new years and thanksgiving

Please note our school closures for holiday dates.  And if you would like gift something to the gym, no need for anything material, just please refer a friend or better yet please share you experience with other people on review sites like yelp or google business.

Thats pretty much it, Thanks for reading and much love always!
