Meet the TBI Team

What is Muay Thai?

Muay Thai or Thai Boxing is the national sport and cultural martial art of Thailand. It was developed several hundreds of years ago as a form of close-combat that utilizes the entire body as a weapon.

Muay Thai has grown exponentially as a national sport in the US in the past few years. Most notably, it gained recognition as an official Olympic sport, which has opened the door for even more opportunities for American  athletes to compete at the highest level.

Who we are

The Thai Boxing Institute

The Thai Boxing Institute, also known as TBI, is a local Los Angeles gym based in the Mar Vista neighborhood. The gym services a wide range of ages and backgrounds with programs for kids to competitive fighters at the national level.

With the growth of the gym community,  there is more opportunity to compete than ever before. However, amateur fighters, by definition, are never compensated for competitions. This calls for investment from the local community to support our aspiring athletes on their journey.

Why sponsor TBI?

Help grow a career & community.

Whether you are a long-time supporter of the US Muay Thai scene or are brand new to training, sponsoring a local gym or athlete is a great way to become more involved with the sport and community. While the majority of practitioners may never compete, every athlete that does gains invaluable experience and knowledge that then cycles back into the general population of the gym. Financially supporting an athlete is an investment into a future coach and leader, which ultimately propels the growth of the community as a whole.

Be a part of the success!

As a patron, you can be a part of the team’s achievement and success even if you have limited availability to directly help train with the athletes. Each win belongs to the entire gym community and its sponsors.

This is a great to promote yourself or your business!

You are also supporting a local Los Angeles native small business with a large online and in-person demographic, which serves as a potential opportunity to promote your own business’ products or services.
