ADVANCED PARRYING: DOUBLE PARRY

Third and final video from the ‘advanced parrying’ series. This last one is what i call a double parry. It’s a single inside parry with the right hand to counter the jab, passing it over to the left hand which then traps the extend arm allowing you to sneak a right uppercut in. I’m sure you can throw a straight elbow over the guard or short hook, but i believe the finesse of the uppercut and the target you hit are a far better choice, aesthically speaking. afterwards i like to left hand palm their head down into the head kick. another choice based on aesthetic, i believe the left knee is a more practical choice :B all and all, a lot of things going on for just two strikes but i think it looks pretty cool. The hand play movements are akin to throwing a ‘one two uppercut cross’ from south paw. i show a few different examples of it’s use, application and approaches to angles, up to you try and play around with it!
