February Newsletter

Hello Team!

This month’s newsletter is PACKED, so please read carefully.

Just a reminder of the ABCs of TBI:
ALWAYS BE (C) HELPFUL!

New Pad Hangers

Speaking of helpful, huge thank you to Brion and his assistant Gerty for building and hanging our new pad holders.

They look absolutely gorgeous!

Also, did you know Brion builds custom furniture too?
Give him a follow: @consciouscustoms

New Cleaning Protocol

Y’all, you are absolutely killing it with the help and it is very much appreciated. Thank you!

We noticed a bottleneck with the paper towels, so we added cloth towels to help speed up cleanup.

One important reminder:

  • Clear bottles labeled “Pad Cleaner” are for pads
  • Blue liquid labeled “Mat Cleaner” is for mopping

Please make sure you are using the correct cleaner. Thank you!

Member Appreciation Day

Join us on Saturday, April 11th, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. (tentative date) for Member Appreciation Day.

There will be no training that day. Instead, we will:

  • Take a group class photo
  • Take individual photos with the coaches

A light lunch and beverages will be provided.
Just bring yourself and wear your favorite Muay Thai shorts and TBI gear.

USMTO Help Needed

Fight camp for the TBI Competition Team starts Monday, February 16th.

We will have sign-ups on the back whiteboard if you are interested in helping. We will need:

  • Drilling help
  • Pad work help
  • Sparring help
  • Morale support 🙂

Thank you all!

Teen Program Update

Parents,

Thank you for the continued support and trust you place in our Teen Muay Thai program. Over the past few months, enrollment has grown significantly, which is a great sign. To maintain coaching quality, safety, and individual attention, we need to make some updates.

Updated Pricing (Effective March 1)

  • Teen Muay Thai monthly membership: $199/month
  • First drop-in class: $20
  • Additional drop-in classes: $40 per class

Grandfathered Membership Option

  • Students currently training at $149/month will remain at that rate
  • Students currently attending via drop-ins may switch to the $149/month membership before March 1 to be grandfathered in

This is a great option for families whose teens attend regularly and want to lock in the current pricing.

These updates help keep the program sustainable while maintaining structure, safety, and attention for your teens.

If you have any questions or would like help switching memberships, please reach out. We are happy to help.

Thank you for being part of The Thai Boxing Institute community.

Membership Hold Policy Reminder

With the Teen Program pricing update, we would also like to remind members of our Membership Hold Policy for all memberships at TBI:

  • Members paying below current rates will keep their rate as long as their account is not placed on hold for more than 3 consecutive months
  • Holds longer than 3 months will require reactivation at the current membership rate

We are deeply grateful to our long-term members. Your consistency and loyalty allow us to provide a safe, welcoming place to train and learn Muay Thai without worry. We appreciate you more than we can say.

We are seeking a female Muay Thai coach to join our coaching staff.

  • Minimum 1 year of teaching or coaching experience
  • Competition experience not required
