HELLLLLOOOOOOO!

2023 HOW ARE YOU?!

Appreciate you all.  Just a reminder that in these few months  of the new year we will have a few new people joining our community.

Please remember when you first started the sport and joined our gym and how sweet and helping everyone (hopefully) was to you.

And please do remember to reciprocate the same sentiment!

Thank you and see you on the mats!

RE:  Surgery

6 weeks since my procedure and already my range of motion is much better than it was before.  I couldn’t even touch my face with my left arm, now I can touch the back of my head!

The pain is still pretty intense and there is still significant numbness in my hand, but at least there is progress.

Will be out for another month and then the doc. will see what I can do.

THANK YOU  to all the coaches, staff and members for your help in running and training the gym while I recover and recuperate.  I am so looking forward to being 100% and being back in action with the rest of you.

Can’t rush it though as I don’t want to ruin my recovery.  Patience will pay off!

Appreciate your understanding!

RE:  Please keep checking in!

Just a reminder-  Please help us help you guys with the community management.  It helps everyone when you check in!

If you are interested in competing you need to be proactive with coming to classes and using the check in system at either one of the two tablets in the gym.

If you need any help with this please see Coach Vic or our front desk for assistance!

RE:  Bag Organization

Regarding gym bags/backpacks – make sure you are putting away your items in the designated areas cubbies/shoe racks/etc. We require the space by the doors to be clear in case of any emergencies.

There has also been a large assortment of clothes and water bottles left behind.

Items will be donated within a week if not claimed.

Thank you!!

RE:  Parking

Our parking guide on the FAQ has been updated, please give it a read if you have any issues.

Just a heads up, parking is heavily enforced so please if you are planning to train for longer than an hour, feed your meter!

Also, for anyone training at 8AM, please refrain from parking in our neighbors (the dry cleaner) spot before class.

Both Coach Jeannie and Gregg secured victories at their fights on January 14th starting off 2023 strong.

Thank you to the coaching staff for all your help cornering the athletes.

Thank you to everyone who came out to support and to those that sent their best wishes.

Thank you to our opponents for stepping up.

Thank you to Big Troy and everyone at the Cali promotion along with the IKF for their hard work in executing another great show.

Thank you to everyone that lent a hand training, sparring and clinching with the athletes.

And thank you to anyone I may have missed.

RE:  Now accepting applicants to the 2023 TBI Competition Team

Although competition is done alone in the ring it takes a team to get you there.

Through the decade of competition, we have developed and continue to refine our process for developing athletes.

We have had nationally ranked athletes, members of Team USA as well as experience training and competing internationally.

Our vision is to continuously produce athletes that compete and represent TBI at the regional, national and International levels.

One of our ethos here at The Thai Boxing Institute is ‘Sustainability’.

While it’s ok to just try it once and we will 100% support you and your decision.

Ideally we want you to compete for a very long time.

Our vision for our athletes is to stay active throughout the year (~5 bouts per year) and to slowly climb through the ranks in a safe and healthy manner.

Furthermore we envision many of our athletes to be competing internationally and then finally professionally.

We are a team of dedicated coaches and community members that strive for the very best of our athletes and are looking for reciprocity in the form of performance.

Check out the link below for benefits of joining, requirements, dues, competition schedule, standards and commitments, and proposed training schedules.

RE:  Kids Classes

I’d like to extend my greatest appreciation to Coach Jeannie, Coach Greego and Ms. Jade for the exemplary work they have done in building our kids program at TBI.

They have done an excellent job leading the classes and not only teaching the kids beautiful Muay Thai technique, but as serving as excellent role models to the children.

Thank you coaches and thank you the TBI parents for trusting us with your children!

We have kids classes 4 days a week, Monday through Thursday from 5:00PM-5:45PM

First class is free, rates start at $99/month for 2 classes per week.
