The TBI Podcast #3: Why Are You So Emo?

LOL, I can’t believe this is still a thing and I STILL get asked this to this very day.  And when I bring up the mid-west emo scene and name drop a few bands I’m only met with puzzled looks and confusion.  🤷🏻‍♂️

This week’s theme is about emotional pain.  The emotional pain in coaching, running a business and competing.⁣

 ⁣

I talk about growing up as a child of immigrant parents and their way of discipline, when I first recalled feeling emotional pain and how I used physical pain as a way to deal with emotional pain.  And eventually how that manifested itself into alcoholism.⁣

People tell me to not take everything so personally.  I’m learning how.  ⁣

Thanks for listening!⁣

⚡️¡VAMOS TBI!⚡️

List of resentment talks, list of character flaws.

Trying to figure out all the different areas where I’m fucking up.

Spending time playing guitar, working my way through the Dookie discography and finally back to writing music.

Doing something creative doesn’t need a spark of inspiration, but it certainly does help.

Writing music for the band sundrowning, and now having some music theory understanding, writing music is a lot easier.

Recorded music in December, finished the last song in November :B

I love Elliott Smith.  A completely musician and great  .

Torturing the members with a long ass bike ride 🙂

Used to spend Saturdays getting wasted at the gym, now I prefer wholesome fun, healthy hang outs.
