Helllloooooo everybody!
April is here and that means another edition of our newsletter. A lot of big things coming up for the gym and crew- exciting stuff!
Just want to take the opportunity to say thank you to everyone for your involvement in role in the success of our team.
Thank you to everyone for helping out while we were away, thank you for helping athletes prepare for all their tournaments and bouts and thank you to the staff and coaching team for leading while I have been gone.
Re: Denver WGP Qualifiers
You may have noticed I was away for two weeks- The team and myself were in Denver for a fight camp to prepare for one the most prestigious tournaments in north America. It was an A-class tournament, invite only tournament and we were privileged enough to be invited to compete amongst the very best athletes in north America for a spot on TEAM USA. This year Team USA will be competing in the World Games as well as the yearly IFMA Muay Thai World Championships.
We went one for one, with Coach Jeannie losing in the semi-finals and Erin with a dominant victory over the favorite to win the bracket.
So now we have an athlete from TBI that will be on Team USA competing for two world championships this year.
First at the end of May for the IFMA World Championships in Abu-Dhabi and the second event being the World Games in Birmingham, Alabama in mid July.
Thank you to everyone for your help in making this possible. This is a huge milestone for myself as a Coach and for the gym. I always dreamt of having an Athlete from TBI compete on Team USA and now that dream has come true. It only took us 10 years. 🙂
Want to see tidbits of our trip? We made two videos during our stay, check it out on our Youtube channel!
CSA Coaches Clinic
And just like gone for another big 4 Day coaching clinic in Dublin, CA led by Kirian Fitzgibbon, one of the leading striking coaches in the US. The Clinic plays host to national and international coaches and athletes conducting workshops and seminars. It’s a great opportunity to grow as a coach and to get perspective on different aspects of sport. Appreciate everyones patience while im away leveling up my knowledge and know this isn’t in vain and hopefully this demonstrates my commitment to consistently providing excellence to y’all!
Thank you!
USMTO Spring 2022 National Muay Thai Tournament
Ok, this is the last trip for me this month. This weekend a team of six athletes will be heading to Phoenix, Arizona for the yearly spring USMTO national tournament. We have athletes spanning all three classes (A,B,C) and on deck competing in those classes are Coach Jeannie, Coach Javi, Coach Greego, Gregg, Jade and Josh.
They are in excellent shape and ready for whatever the tourney brings them.
Thank you again to all coaches and volunteers that have so graciously donated their time to help train the team.
And a very big, big thank you to everyone that has donated and sponsored our Competition Team.

Interested in helping out Team TBI?
We’ve put together a little sponsorship kit to help raise funds for this year’s competition team.
Medicals, travel, room and board, transportation etc, all add up.
Help us and our athletes succeed again this year with a little bit of help.
You can sponsor the team or an individual athlete, up to you!
Why Sponsor TBI?
Grow a career & community.
Whether you are a long-time supporter of the US Muay Thai scene or are brand new to training, sponsoring a local gym or athlete is a great way to become more involved with the sport and community.
While the majority of practitioners may never compete, every athlete that does gains invaluable experience and knowledge that then cycles back into the general population of the gym.
Financially supporting an athlete is an investment into a future coach and leader, which ultimately propels the growth of the community as a whole.
Be a part of the success.
As a patron, you can be a part of the team’s achievement and success even if you have limited availability to directly help train with the athletes.
Each win belongs to the entire gym community and its sponsors.
Promote yourself.
You are also supporting a local Los Angeles native small business with a large online and in-person demographic, which serves as a potential opportunity to promote your own business’ products or services.

Would you like to spar during the party?
Seeking match-ups between members for those that would like to spar in front of everyone during the party?
No winner, NO KNOCK OUTS. It’s not about the hard contact, it’s more about the display of skill. This is an excellent opportunity for those that are curious about competing. It will be done in a safe environment moderated by me and your referee.
Get to see what it feels like to do this in front of an audience.
Shit- I’ll even let you keep your shirts on.
Talk to me if you are interested!
