December Newsletter

Well- Here we are: Last month of the year. And what year!

I think it’s all been said already, but as always my eternal gratitude and sincerest appreciation to the entire TBI community.

Supporters, members, coaches and friends; none of what we accomplished could’ve been done without your help.

Many thanks and much love.

Re:  Holiday Party:

Thank you all who came to the dinner and after party.  I hope you all had a great time.  It’s been endearing seeing the party grow in size every year and I’ll try my hardest to keep the tradition alive.

2021 Class pictures:

Howdy y’all!

This is something that I’ve always wanted to do, and it took me near 10 years to finally get to it.  Lol.

As a way to document our student body as well as to have memories of everyone and perhaps memories for yourself, we are scheduling a class photo day on:

Date:  SUNDAY, DECEMBER 19th 2021

Time:  12PM

Location:  TBI

We’re gonna do a group picture as well as pictures with the coaches for you to have and save.

If you have a TBI shirt, please wear it.  If you don’t have a TBI, you can buy one 🙂

Jk, I mean, that would be cool, but not necessary :).

What is non-negotiable are Muay Thai shorts.  Please wear yours for the pictures.

We will have clean loaner pairs if you don’t own a pair.  (We have them for sale tho FYI)

That’s basically it.  Thank you all for your participation and hope to see you guys there!

Check-in System

Well, The new system is LIVE and thank you all for using it.  Aside from it being a way to track attendance, the overall system will allow autonomy over your membership as well as better communication between all of us.  If you haven’t received log-in info from us please check your spam folder or make sure we have your email on file.

THANKS!

TBI in 2022

Next year will be interesting.

Aside from another year of dealing with what’s going in the world;  It will also be the gym’s 10 year anniversary.  Furthermore, our lease on the gym will be up, so here we are at this fork on the road.  My business philosophy as always leaned towards slow and steady growth and progress, and my risks have always been very well thought, albeit a bit drawn out.

One thing I did learn this year from Kru Pat at the Muay Thai Business Summit was ‘Bigger isn’t better;  Better is better’.

But I do understand the need for space and further growth of the gym.  It’s been an interesting exercise in acumen as to how to scale up but keep the essence of the gym which is the familiarity and community.

I will for sure be staying in the neighborhood, but as to stay where we are at or a new location is still a mystery.  I should get to that quick lol.

Anyways, I’m excited to finally be able to upgrade our equipment (the mats, more bags), add more classes (s&c program, expand kids program, proper competition classes) and give the place a deep cleaning and another painting to spruce it up.

We will also be releasing some updated membership programs that allow for ascension in careers such as ‘Coaching Development’ program to help those who want to be more involved with athlete development and to pursue a career in training people, as well as ‘the development team’ which will be folks who want to compete but at a small scale (PKB’s) but want a more physical participation in helping the athletes to a full on ‘Competition Team’ which will be the team heavily involved in local and national tournaments.

Exciting stuff.  Until then, I hope everyone has a wonderful and safe holiday season.  See you in the new year!

¡VAMOS TBI!
