Re:  Seminar

What an amazing and successful event it was, thank you all members and guest for participating.  The knowledge and insight gained from the seminar was invaluable and well worth the effort of putting it together.  We are in talks of having a former heavy weight champion come to TBI in june for an elbow seminar.

I was able to get a half hour private lesson with Liam too..  Felt good working out with world class talent.

Upcoming schedule changes to the gym

We start a new schedule in May (should be posted up later this week) .  Nothing Bad, all good!  It will be a ‘staggered’ schedule in regards to the levels.  For example:  MWF 6 pm will still be General Muay Thai Class (all levels)  but Tues Thurs at 6 pm will be Beginners muay the class.  Get it?  No?  ok ok, There are still gonna be a ‘Beginners class’ on monday night but it will be a ‘Foundations’ Class where the emphasis will be on technique practice and repetition, minimal pad holding but will cover the ‘Pad Holding’ technique.  This will be a great opportunity for all members to brush up on their basic techniques whether it’s punching, kicking, elbow, kneeing or pad holding.

This is also going to be an attempt to stream line the new member process so that the coaches can divide their attention evenly amongst all members rather than having to focus on teaching the trial members the basics.

This is also a great way for the trial/new members to already have the skill set necessary as well as to have the confidence to participate in the larger group classes.  a win/win!

The immature martial art is a source of great injury- Unknown

What about the old timers..  ahh yes, salty old timers.  you already got your advanced sparring and clinching classes!

WHAT MORE DO YOU WANT FROM ME?

I have a few ideas, still trying to figure out the rest of the schedule.  I’m perhaps leaning towards a all level sparring (no knees and elbows) class with drills which would be a great introduction to getting more people to spar, as well as a Strength and Conditioning class.  There’s only so much of me to go around. :[

On that note

Thank you all for everything and for all your patience.  I’m only human, please understand that i care quite a bit about everyone and your progress at the gym and sometimes that comes out in a manner that you guys aren’t familiar with.

IT’S CALLED PASSION, GET USED TO IT!

:B
